-The inspiring story of Jack Layton has caught Canada’s attention once again through the movie JACK. The CBC movie aired on Sunday, March 10 and was watched by viewers across the country. It is now viewable online as well.

Watch parties in diverse places like Halifax, Iqaluit and rural Ontario drew in thousands of community members – testament to the continuing admiration for the late NDP leader.

As the Huffington Post wrote, “In a country where politicians are usually kept at arm’s length (or at a football field’s length, whichever), Layton broke the mould by being open, forthright and colloquial. He was regularly seen interacting with average citizens, shaking hands and taking a personal interest in the common person’s struggles.”

“I wanted Jack’s story to inspire more people to get involved and try to make the world a better place,” Olivia Chow explains. “I thank everyone for tuning in and watching JACK on their TV or via the internet.”
